STANDARD WOOD FINISHES
All of our woodwork is made of 100% natural wood from renewable forests (see more on LACAVA "green" initiative). Differences in color, grain, appearance and texture are inherent in all natural woodwork, and should be expected. Variances in these qualities are not deemed manufacturing defects, and will not be accepted as valid reasons to return or exchange any LACAVA wood bathroom furnishings. Wood samples provided by LACAVA are intended to represent the average appearance of each wood finish, and should not be viewed as exact representations of every individual piece of woodwork.
We offer a wide range of natural and painted finishes for bath furnishings made of wood. Natural woods gradually change color over time depending on the initial wood color and element exposure. It's a natural aging process and should be expected. Generally, dark woods become lighter, light woods become darker, and direct sunlight will have a bleaching effect on any wood, as the UV light waves break down the chemical bonds of elements.
There is no one color-change definition that fits all woods species equally though; for example, natural cherry wood starts with light yellow, orange, and pink hues and over time becomes reddish and brown when exposed to natural light. Bamboo also darkens over time, while natural walnut starts with darker hues and becomes lighter with time.
Furniture pieces intended to be installed in the same room, especially when adjacent to one another, should be ordered at the same time to be produced in the same batch. This will ensure close match of patterns, wood grain, and color hues. Furniture pieces coming from different batches might have slight variances in color hues and different wood grain patterns. This is normal manufacturing process and should be taken into consideration when ordering wood furniture.

Unique Nature of Concrete
Our handcrafted concrete sinks celebrate their natural, unique character, featuring variations in color, texture, pores, lines, seams, and small surface holes caused by trapped air during casting - all of which are inherent and do not compromise durability. Made from traditional mixes of gravel, crushed stone, sand, and cement, each piece is individually crafted, resulting in one-of-a-kind products with organic, stone-like qualities and a rich patina, emphasizing the beauty of natural imperfections. These features, including visible aggregates, subtle cracks, and color and texture variations due to the mixing process and curing, are natural to concrete, highlighting its authentic and artisanal nature. Please consider your comfort level with these distinctive characteristics before placing an order, as each sink will be unique in nature and slightly different from the photography shown on our website.
